Learning Opportunities Designed for Student Success

At Mount Academy, small class sizes allow teachers and students to feel comfortable and build trust with each other very quickly. We have personalized learning plans and individual advisement to ensure that each student’s needs are met. We also recognize that learning also happens outside of the classroom, and urge students to explore the campus grounds, interact with Community Care residents, and utilize the services at neighbouring University of Prince Edward Island. 

Connecting With Community Mentors

We believe that sharing our knowledge and expanding our viewpoints is incredibly powerful, especially with those who have succeeded in life (and also with those who have failed and climbed back up). One of the many benefits of being part of a vibrant, active service community is that our students are able to interact with their mentors every single day.

Students Helping Students

Peer support amongst students has been shown to be mutually beneficial for both parties involved. As such, it’s become a crucial part of the educational model at Mount Academy. Integration of students from different grade levels often occurs intentionally, and we encourage students to lean on their peers for support as much as possible.

Knowledgeable Faculty Advisors

Members of our faculty are highly motivated and carry a deep understanding of nurturing a balanced lifestyle. Each student at Mount Academy has their very own faculty advisor to help them navigate through their student journey, and are available to talk anytime a need arises.
