At Mount Academy, athletics and fitness are integral aspects of our education philosophy.
From elite prep hockey teams to yoga and swimming, we have a broad range of activities to suit every student’s unique preferences while supporting an active and healthy lifestyle.
Athletic Programs & Recreation
While we pride ourselves on our hockey programming, all Mount Academy athletes must choose at least one alternate skills program to balance their sport-specific training each school year. We ensure there's something for every student no matter their sport and recreation preferences.
We support high level athletic achievement and sport advancements with our prep hockey teams. With professional certified coaches leading the charge, these teams have dedicated training and practice schedules, participate in our High Performance Fitness Program, and compete with other prep schools throughout the region and internationally.
High Performance Fitness
We believe that strength conditioning can make all the difference between success and failure in competitive sports. Mount Academy’s High Performance Fitness Program provides rigorous physical training elements while addressing performance-related topics in nutrition, wellness and mental aspects of competition.
Our Sporting Facilities
Steps away from the Mount Academy is the University of Prince Edward Island, the Bell Aliant Centre and the Canada Games Athletics Complex which are able to host many of our sports programs. These state of the art facilities are equipped with hockey rinks, pools, full recreation gyms, squash courts, tracks, and much more.
