Alex is a coach who looks to help players continue their hockey careers and reach their goals. Alex is extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to begin the upcoming season with the Mount Academy where he will be an associate coach for both the U17 and U18 men’s teams.
Joanna Weatherbie

Teacher and Assistant Coach U19 Female Hockey Team
Joanna Weatherbie is joining our 2024-2025 season at The Mount Academy, taking leadership roles in the class room teaching and on the ice as the female hockey team’s assistance coach. Joanna is very familiar with the prep school world, having spent three years as a student at Holderness School in Plymouth New Hampshire playing varsity hockey, soccer, and lacrosse.
Nelson MacAulay

Teacher, Goalie Coach
Nelson is an experienced Goalie Coach with a Bachelor of Education. He was a Goalie Advisor for Team PEI at the Canada Winter Games in 2019 and 2023, as well as a Goalie/Video Coach for Team Atlantic Female U18 National Championship teams in 2017 and 2023.
Paddy Flynn

With over 30 years of experience in the hockey industry Paddy brings a wealth of experiences and has a proven track record of success in coaching, recruiting, player advising and placement! From a coaching standpoint, Paddy is a certified Hockey Canada High Performance Coach whose experiences are vast and varied. He has coached, managed, and scouted the OHL, QMJHL, BCHL, ECHL, MJHL, USport levels, along with being involved with national team programming in Iceland and further international experience in Sweden, the United States, and China.

Sarah has a bachelor's in Biology, Education and a Master's of Education in Inclusive Education. She is the Registrar at Mount Academy, our French Immersion teacher, and academic advisor.

Kenny MacDougall

Head Master and Head Coach of the U19 Female Hockey Team
Kenny has been here since the beginning! It was Kenny’s vision that brought our school to life 8 years ago. Kenny has had an expansive 21 year career in the public education system as a teacher, guidance counselor, and administrator. He is also a High Performance certified coach with 29 years of experience at various levels of Minor Hockey, Jr. A, and at the USport Level. Kenny will be returning to coach our top Female team for his 7th year. We couldn’t be more excited to see where Kenny continues to take this program for the 2024-2025 season! Kenny has now built our Female program into an elite level destination for females around the world.
